Civil & Criminal Trial Attorney - Denton, Texas

Wild Ideas

Unfortunately, I am an attorney. I began this adventure believing that I could help individuals achieve justice. What a collosal joke.

I have seen the worst of humanity on a daily basis. What I never understood, prior to becoming an attorney, was that, much like an emergency room attendant, the only person that comes through my front door is someone that has been or is about to be royally screwed by someone else. Over time, this situation has not improved.

I am a trial attorney. I see the system fail on a routine basis. Judges are typically poorly qualified to deal with the situation. Juries are worse than any crap shoot you can imagine in Las Vegas. They regularly fail to follow instructions and will even outright lie to you in jury selection resulting in extreme injustice. The immediate appellate court appears to be full of justices that have not practiced law in years or represented an individual ever and typically write opinions that are result/party oriented. They are good little, tough on crime, never saw a plaintiff they liked (unless of course that plaintiff was an insurance company or doctor) impartial arbiters of justice. The Texas Supreme Court is the same only worse. Since 1991, they have consistently and almost completely removed any hope that an individual plaintiff might have as to any form of recovery or being made whole by the system. The Court of Criminal Appeals appears to be of the same vein, however, one can see a glimmer of hope in some of their opinions lately. The U.S. Supreme Court frightens me at this point due to the appointments by W.

Relax. I created this series of posts to allow a cathartic venting. These thoughts and posts are mine and mine alone. According to the Texas and U.S. Bill of Rights, I'm allowed. Unless, of course, the present government decides those documents mean nothing (possible, we can apparently tap anyone we want provided the President says it's okay -- forget about that pesky constitution thing). Once upon a time, those appearing in New York were welcomed into the melting pot that is the United States of America. Now they should be provided a warning--

ABANDON ALL HOPE YE WHO ENTER HERE.
